Aristea fimbriata is a range-restricted species (EOO <10 km²), is known from two to three locations and is potentially threatened by habitat loss and degradation.

Description
It occurs on rocky sandstone slopes in fynbos, 500-900 m.
Threats
There are no current severe threats to this species, but due to its localized distribution it is potentially vulnerable to habitat loss to dam construction (suitable habitat near one of the two known subpopulations have been lost to dam construction), as well as establishment of fruit orchards, and spreading alien invasive plants.
Population

This species has a highly restricted distribution range, and occurs in small, localized clumps.
