There are no current severe threats to this species, but due to its localized distribution it is potentially vulnerable to habitat loss to dam construction (suitable habitat near one of the two known subpopulations have been lost to dam construction), as well as establishment of fruit orchards, and spreading alien invasive plants. |
Population |
This species has a highly restricted distribution range, and occurs in small, localized clumps.
