Population |
It was previously a poorly known species, but extensive field surveys of the mountains around Graaff-Reinet and the Great Winterberg Mountains from 2007 to 2012 encountered a number of previously unrecorded subpopulations. It is now known from seven distinct subpopulations. The population is not suspected to be declining, but it may be impacted if grazing pressure increases.
