Justification
This is a montane species that flowers only after fire and is thus poorly collected. It has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 13 176 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 72 km². It is known from at least 20 subpopulations and is not suspected to be threatened. It is therefore listed as Least Concern.

An endemic species to the Western Cape province, South Africa, extending from the Slanghoek Mountains south and east through the Hottentots Holland Mountains to the Langeberg.

Description
It occurs in stony, sandstone ground, mostly on south-facing slopes, blooming well only after fire.

This species has no known threats.

An attractive but poorly known species from the Western Cape Mountains, flowering only after fires. It is easily confused with G. grandiflora, G. tabularis and the more widespread G. ramosa.
