Justification
This range-restricted species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 160 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 36 km². It is rare and occurs as scattered clumps of fewer than 50 individuals. It faces no threats and the population is stable. It is listed globally as Least Concern, and nationally, as Rare.

Description
It occurs on cool, damp, seasonally waterlogged south-facing slopes.
Threats
It has no severe threat, however a combination of fire and drought may potentially cause this species to decline.
Population

Plants occur in small clumps of, on average, between 10 and 50 flowering individuals, however there are likely to be many undiscovered subpopulations. Recent monitoring on the Kammanassie mountains indicates that there are about 10 subpopulations scattered along this mountain range.
