Justification
This widespread species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 20 061 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 140 km². It is known from between 20 and 24 subpopulations. Although some lowland subpopulations have been lost to urban expansion and crop cultivation, it is still common and occurs in montane areas where it is not threatened. It is unlikely to go extinct. As flowering is stimulated by fires, it is also likely to be overlooked in many areas, and more common than records indicate. It is therefore listed as Least Concern.
