Description
It occurs on damp, sheltered, south- or west-facing rock ledges and cliffs where shade and moisture are available in midsummer, flowering as late as January at higher elevations.

This species has no known threats.

The population has a stable trend and is known from a handful of subpopulations but is likely underrecorded due to its preference for inaccessible rock ledge habitats.
