Justification
This restricted range habitat specialist has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 150 km² and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 16 km². It is known from three subpopulations, however, the population is not threatened. It is therefore listed globally under the IUCN 3.1. criteria as Least Concern but is nationally classified as Rare.

It is endemic to Western Cape Province, South Africa, and is restricted to high elevations in the Hex River Mountains.

Description
It occurs in damp rocky sites on cliffs or under boulders, usually south-facing at 1200-1800 m elevation.
Threats
This species has no threats.
Population

This species is known from three herbarium collections all made prior to 1995, given the remote high alpine habitat of this species the population trend is suspected to be stable.
