National Status
Status and Criteria
Data Deficient - Taxonomically Problematic
Assessment Date

Justification
Hereroa willowmorensis is a poorly known species, last recorded in 1950. It is possibly insufficiently distinct from other Hereroa species, as the genus is taxonomically problematic, making it difficult to identify specimens with certainty. Further taxonomic study is urgently needed, and until resolved, this species' risk of extinction cannot be assessed. It is listed as Data Deficient.

Threats
There are no known threats for this species.
Population

Hereroa willowmorensis is a very poorly known species, and was last recorded in 1950. It may be overlooked, but it is also likely that it is difficult to distinguish from other species in the genus, as Hereroa is in need of taxonomic revision. The population size and trend is not known.

Population trend
Stable
Notes
