Justification
Eriospermum lanuginosum is a range-restricted species with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 5605 km². It occurs at between 10 and 15 locations and is declining due to habitat loss to crop cultivation.

Description
It occurs in deep sandy soils in fynbos.
