Threats
Subpopulations near Nieuwoudtville occur among ploughed fields, and are potentially threatened by further sporadic habitat loss to crop cultivation. Subpopulations around Loeriesfontein are not threatened.
Population

This recently described species is currently known from four locations, within a very small area, but it is likely to occur at a few more, as the area is generally under-sampled. Subpopulations are small and localized.
