Uncertain. The species was described from the Addo area, Eastern Cape (Harvey 1861). Nkonki (2013) cites records from the Rhodes and Lady Grey districts, Eastern Cape Drakensberg.

Population

The collections cited by Harvey (1861) dates from the early 1800s. There has been no subsequent collections of this species in the vicinity of the type locality since then. Nkonki (2013) gives no comment on the significant disjunction and difference in habitat between the Addo region and the Eastern Cape Drakensberg.
