Forest margins, and shrubby mountain slopes.
Threats
No threats. This species occurs in high altitude montane habitat where there is little human impact. Two locations are protected within nature reserves.
Population

A localized endemic, known from only a few collections, but suspected to be overlooked as it occurs in a poorly surveyed area, rather than rare or threatened.
