Justification
EOO 8400 km², a lowland species that occurs on flat loams and clays. Over 80 % of its habitat has been transformed in the past 80 years. Remaining subpopulations are severely fragmented occurring on small remnants of renosterveld isolated from one another by intervening wheat and vineyard agricultural lands and by urban suburbs in the greater Cape Town area. Habitat loss to urban development, crop cultivation and invasive alien plants is continuing.

Description
Renosterveld on clay flats.
Threats
Agriculture is a severe past, moderate and ongoing threat. Grazing is a severe ongoing threat. Urban development is a moderate, past and ongoing while alien grasses is moderate and ongoing. Quarrying is also a threat.
