Justification
EOO 14 829 km², known from 30 locations and declining due to urban expansion, invasive alien grass encroachment and agricultural activities. Over 60% of its habitat has been lost over the past 70 years as a result of crop cultivation and urban development, and at least seven subpopulations known through historical records are now locally extinct.

Description
Flats and rocky outcrops in nutrient rich soils.
Threats
This species has lost large portions of its habitat to agricultural expansion in the past, and loss is still continuing. Most coastal populations and those on the Cape Peninsula are now locally extinct due to urban expansion. Invasive alien plants, especially grasses threatens many remaining subpopulations.
