Description
Plants grow in dune forest and thicket.
Threats
Historically, about 50% of this species' habitat has been lost to urban and coastal development. There is no significant ongoing habitat loss, except for a small area in northern KwaZulu-Natal, where expanding rural settlements have led to some forest loss over the past 30 years.

A very common species in coastal dune habitats (Boon 2010).
