Justification
Chaenostoma longipedicellatum is range-restricted endemic to the Bokkeveld Escarpment, with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 51 km². It is a poorly known species, but not suspected to be threatened.

Description
It possibly occurs in rocky outcrops in sandstone fynbos.
Population

It is a rare, localized and poorly known species. There are only a few records, and it was last observed in 1995. Its exact habitat requirements are unknown, but it is suspected to occur in rocky outcrops (Hilliard 1994) where it is unlikely to be threatened, but field observations are needed to confirm this.
