Justification
A range-restricted species formerly only known from around Calvinia. Recent field surveys have extended the range southwards as far as the Tanqua Karoo National Park (EOO 8611 km²), however, specimen notes indicate that it occurs in low abundance in specialized habitat. It is therefore listed under the IUCN 3.1 Criteria, globally, as Least Concern but is nationally categorised as Rare.

This species is known to occur in Calvinia district, Hantamsberg Mountain to the Tanqua Karoo.

Description
