Justification | This species is known from two locations within a very limited area (EOO 61 km²) in South Africa, where it is declining due to ongoing habitat loss and degradation. As the South African population is continuous with the larger and more stable Namibian population, the national status is downgraded by one category as per IUCN regional assessment procedures. |

In Namibia, some subpopulations have been recorded in mining areas, but it is not as severely threatened as in South Africa. |

This species is rare and localized in South Africa, but more widespread and common in Namibia. The South African population is declining due to habitat loss and degradation, but the Namibian population is stable.
