Justification
Cromidon minutum is a widespread, but very poorly known species. It is not suspected to be in danger of extinction, but field surveys are needed to confirm the population status and trends.

This species is widespread across the western arid areas of southern Africa, where it occurs from southern Namibia to Bushmanland in the Northern Cape, extending southwards to Carnarvon and Williston in the Great Karoo.

Description
It is an annual herb occurring in moist depressions and seasonal pans, where it emerges only in response to rain.
Threats
Threats to this species are unknown. It might be impacted by grazing, but the effect of grazing on the population is not known.
Population

This is a widespread, but very rarely recorded species. Plants are extremely small and ephemeral, and therefore easily overlooked. It also occurs in a remote and botanically very poorly explored area, and is therefore likely to be more common than records suggest. The population size and trend is not known.
