Threats |
Historically, Jamesbrittenia kraussiana has lost habitat to coastal development and urban expansion along the KwaZulu-Natal south coast and inland around Durban. There is ongoing, sporadic habitat loss in KwaZulu-Natal. |

A large number of recent field observations indicate that this species is still common.
