A rare and poorly known species, last collected in 1930. It is possibly threatened, but may also be overlooked, but based on currently available data, its risk of extinction cannot be assessed.

Description

Threats
This species is possibly threatened due to severe overgrazing in South Africa. In Namibia it is not threatened.
Population

This species has a limited range in southern Namibia, where it occurs largely within the Ai-Ais National Park. In South Africa, this species is rare and poorly known, and was last collected in 1930.
