Description
Coastal fynbos on white sand.
Threats
Coastal flats within this species' range are rapidly being lost to expanding crop cultivation (particularly in the Sandveld), urban expansion on the northern edges of Cape Town, and coastal development between Bloubergstrand and the Vredenburg Peninsula. Sand fynbos across this species' range is also densely infested with alien invasive plants, which are outcompeting native species.
Population

This species is known from very few records, and was last recorded in 1970, when Acocks reported it to be very rare in coastal sand fynbos. Continuing population decline is inferred from rapid, ongoing loss of sand fynbos across this species' range.

Decreasing
