Zaluzianskya distans is a widespread, but very rare species, with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 25 286 km². It is not suspected to be in danger of extinction. It is therefore listed under the IUCN 3.1 Criteria, globally, as Least Concern but is nationally categorised as Rare.

Range
This species is endemic to South Africa, and is found from the Mpumalanga Drakensberg Escarpment near Lydenburg southwards to the KwaZulu-Natal Drakensberg foothills near Himeville.

Description

There are no threats to Zaluzianskya distans.
