Justification
Zaluzianskya natalensis is a widespread, but rarely recorded species. It is declining due to ongoing habitat loss and degradation, but not yet in danger of extinction.

Range
This species occurs from Barberton in eastern Mpumalanga, southwards through western eSwatini (Swaziland) to the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands and Drakensberg foothills in the vicinity of Kokstad.

Description
It occurs in montane and mistbelt grassland.
Threats
This species is threatened by habitat loss, predominantly past loss to timber plantations, but also ongoing loss to urban expansion, mining and agriculture. About 40% of its habitat is already irreversibly modified. In addition, many subpopulations are threatened by habitat degradation due to overgrazing, inappropriate fire management, and competition from alien invasive plants.
