Justification
EOO 3445 km², AOO less than 3 km², a lowland species that only occurs on seasonally waterlogged areas, 75% of known locations have gone extinct due to urban development and crop cultivation, this species remains extant at only five locations where it is threatened by invasive alien plants, and continuing urban and agricultural expansion.

Description
Seasonally waterlogged sands and shales on lowlands.
Threats
This species' habitat has been extensively transformed and fragmented due to agricultural and urban expansion, and loss is ongoing. In addition, remaining subpopulations are threatened by competition from alien invasive plants.
Population

An Cape Flats endemic which was frequently collected in the 1800s and early 1900s, but is now very rare.
