Justification | EOO<6500 km², a formerly very common species that has lost >90% of its habitat to wheat cultivation. Remaining subpopulations are severely fragmented, occurring on isolated renosterveld remnants, and continue to decline due to urban expansion on the Cape Flats, and at Malmesbury and Paarl. |

Threats |
Roughly 80% of this species' habitat has been transformed over the past 70 years due to agriculture. Urbanisation has also resulted in 10% of this species' habitat being lost over the past 200 years, ongoing loss to urbanization was observed by N. Helme on the Cape Flats; Durbanville, Malmesbury, Paarl over the past 5 years. |
