Justification
Despite having a restricted range (EOO 9 250 km²), this species is recorded from more than 13 locations and is suspected to occur at a minimum of 10 other locations. It is a tiny, cryptic species, and easily overlooked. It has been found to be locally abundant in almost any suitable coastal dune habitat on the Cape Peninsula and is suspected to be locally abundant in other coastal areas within its range.

Description
Coastal fynbos.
Threats
Urban expansion is a severe past and ongoing threat throughout this species range. Currently declining at Yzerfontein, Gansbaai, Struisbaai, Muizenberg and Clovelly. Agriculture is a severe past threat around Darling, while invasive alien plants are severe ongoing threat throughout this species' range. However despite these threats the species remains locally abundant in over 20 locations and is therefore not listed as threatened.
