Description | It occurs on sandy flats near the coast, and on stony foothills. |
Threats |
Nenax arenicola is threatened by habitat loss to mining on the Namaqualand coast, and agricultural expansion in the Sandveld. About 20% of this species' habitat is already irreversibly modified, and this loss continues. |
Population |
It is uncommon in sand fynbos, and it is declining in parts of its range.
