Justification
Galium rourkei is known to occur in one small area in the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve where it is not threatened. It has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 2 km². It is therefore listed under the IUCN 3.1. criteria as Least Concern but is nationally recognised as Critically Rare.
