Justification
Galium bredasdorpense is a range-restricted species with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 131 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 40 km². It is estimated to occur at two to five locations, and potentially threatened by competition from alien invasive plants.

Description
It occurs in rock crevices in limestone fynbos.
Threats
Competition from alien invasive plants is a threat across this species' range. Although there has been efforts to clear alien invasive plants in the De Hoop Nature Reserve, recent field observations indicate that alien invasive plants are still present within the habitat.
Population

This species is a localized habitat specialist, but locally common. The population trend is not known, and the species requires monitoring.
