Justification
This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 2300 km² and the population consists of fewer than 200 mature individuals at two disjunct locations. It is declining due to ongoing habitat loss to expanding vineyards around Riebeek Kasteel and rooibos tea cultivation at Nardous Pass. It is therefore assessed as Endangered under criteria B and D.
