Justification | This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of less than 2200 km². Less than 10 locations are declining due to ongoing habitat loss to rooibos tea cultivation around Clanwilliam. It therefore qualifies as Vulnerable under criterion B. |

Description | Plants grow on arid succulent fynbos on rocky sandstone slopes. |
Threats |
It is threatened by agriculture, particularly rooibos tea farming in the Clanwilliam area, Nardouwsberg and Pakhuispass. Wheat farming and wine farming is a threat at the Riebek Kasteel locality (Domitilla Raimondo, pers. obs. 2006). |
