This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) and an area of occupancy (AOO) of less than 500 km². Less than 10 locations are declining due to ongoing habitat loss to vineyard expansion and urban development. It therefore qualifies as Vulnerable under criterion B.

Description
Plants grow on lowlands shale flats and stony slopes.
