Justification | Mesembryanthemum excavatum is a widespread species from the southern part of the Nama Karoo Biome, with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 34 770 km². It has been recorded from more that 30 subpopulations and is able to survive in disturbed habitats. It is therefore listed as Least Concern. |
