Justification
A species restricted to the eastern parts of South Africa and also occurring in Eswatini. It has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 6982 km² and an area of occupancy (AOO) ranging from 28-32 km². The species is known from six to seven locations based on herbarium specimen data. It faces potential threats from the spread of invasive alien plants and the development of infrastructure. It is therefore assessed as Near Threatened under criterion D2.

Description
The species often grows in wet or marshy grasslands.
Threats
