Description | It is often found on sandstone substrates, but also on granitic, clay soils in areas of high rainfall. It quickly colonizes disturbed areas. |
Threats |
Aristea africana has lost habitat to plantations, agriculture and urban expansion in the past. It still persists in spite of these impacts, particularly in disturbed areas. Alien invasive plants have been observed in some parts of the range. |
