A mountain species restricted to wet sites, known from six locations, all in protected areas. This species is potentially threatened by alien invasive plants in some parts of its range and almost qualifies for listing as Vulnerable under criterion D. It is therefore listed as Near Threatened.

Description

This species is potentially threatened by competition from alien invasive plants that are spreading around Du Toit's Kloof, Riviersonderend and Langeberg mountains.
