Justification
A range-restricted species with an extent of occurrence (EOO) and area of occupancy (AOO) of 8 km². It is known from two to three locations and is potentially threatened by habitat loss and degradation. It is therefore listed as Vulnerable under criterion D.

Description
It occurs on sandy plateaus in fynbos, 500-900 m.
Threats
There are no current severe threats to this species, but due to its localized distribution it is potentially vulnerable to habitat loss to dam construction (suitable habitat near one of the two known subpopulations has been lost to dam construction), as well as establishment of fruit orchards, and spreading alien invasive plants.
Population

This species has a highly restricted distribution range, and occurs in small, localized clumps. The population trend is currently stable.
