This species has no known threats. Its habitat is in remote mountainous areas that are mostly formally protected. However the low-lying areas are likely to be threatened by agricultural expansion. |

No quantitative population data is available for this species. However, during field surveys it was noted as common in suitable habitat, which happens to be usually rather inaccessible. Population is not suspected to be declining.
