A poorly known, and apparently extremely rare and highly localized species. It occurs in a protected wilderness area and is however not suspected to be threatened.

Unknown. The species was collected once, but could not be relocated on subsequent visits (Boatwright et al. 2010). It appears to be extremely rare and localized, and may only be found in recently burnt fynbos.

Wiborgiella vlokii is a unique species and allopatric with all other known species of Wiborgiella (Boatwright et al. 2010).
