Justification
This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 92 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 28 km². It is known from four locations, which are potentially threatened by mining. It is therefore listed as Vulnerable under criterion D.

It is endemic to South Africa, and is found in Long Tom Pass in Mpumalanga and possibly also in the Limpopo province.

Description
It occurs on wet cliffs and rock seeps above 2000 m.
Threats
This species has lost 44% of its habitat (calculated using landcover data in GIS). It is potentially threatened by mining. Many applications for mining on the Long Tom Pass area are under review (M. Lötter pers. comm.).
Population

It is known from four locations, most of which are potentially threatened by mining - applications for mining over large areas around Long Tom Pass are currently under consideration, the exact areas under application are unknown and this area may represent between one and three locations. It is protected in Mount Sheba Nature Reserve, considered as a separate location. The population is currently stable.
