This range restricted habitat specialist has an extent of occurrence (EOO) and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 16 km². It is known from two locations, and does not face any threats. Globally, it is listed as Least Concern, and nationally, as Rare.

It occurs on sandstone pavement in rock crevices or shallow humus, often in the shelter of small shrubs.
Threats
This species faces no threats.
Population

It is known from only two subpopulations. There is no indication of its population size, except for a 1991 record, where it was observed as being locally common on edges of rock pockets. The species has a stable population trend with no apparent threats.
