Justification
This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 1295 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 36 km². It is known from ten subpopulations, however it is not under threat. It is therefore listed as Least Concern.

This species is endemic to the western Karoo in Northern Cape, South Africa, extending from the Hantamsberg near Calvinia south along the Roggeveld Escarpment to Sneeukrans and the Farm Voelfontein.

Description
It occurs in seasonally damp to waterlogged, shallow ground over rocky pavement, sometimes in standing water.
