It is known from four locations and primarily occurs on slopes with no known threats. It is therefore listed as Least Concern globally according to the IUCN 3.1 Criteria but is considered Rare on a national level. |

Range | It is endemic to South Africa, and is restricted to the western Karoo in Northern Cape. It is recorded only from the Hantamsberg at Calvinia and on the Roggeveld Escarpment northwest of Middelpos. |
