Justification
This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 11 934 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 80 km². It is known from between 14 and 18 subpopulations. It does not appear to be threatened, as it is found in a protected area. It is therefore listed as Least Concern.

This species occurs at mid- to upper elevations of the Drakensberg of eastern Free State and KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, probably also in Lesotho.

Description
It is found on wet rock ledges and mossy rock faces, often on sandstone but also basalt.
Threats
This species does not seem to be threatened as it is found throughout the Drakensberg protected area.
Population

It is known from between 14 and 18 subpopulations, which are found in the Drakensberg protected area and the species is therefore not under threat. The population is inferred to be stable.
