Justification
A rare, range-restricted (EOO 249 km²) Roggeveld Escarpment endemic. It is currently known from five subpopulations on the escarpment edge. There are no severe threats to the species and it is not in danger of extinction. It is therefore listed under the IUCN 3.1. criteria as Least Concern but nationally recognised as Critically Rare.

This species is endemic to South Africa, and is restricted to the Roggeveld Escarpment in Northern Cape, and it is recorded from west of Middelpos and to the south on the farm Uitkyk.

Description
It grows on stony slopes, often growing in rock crevices.
Threats
Renosterveld on the Roggeveld Escarpment is utilised mainly for livestock grazing, and field observations indicate grazing at one of the subpopulations. It does not appear to be negatively impacting this species, but ongoing monitoring is required.
Population

It is known from at least five subpopulations. As there are no current severe threats to this species, the population is assumed to be stable.
