Description | It occurs on rocky and gravel slopes, on the foot of mountains and hills, where it grows on granitic soils in Mountain Renosterveld. |
Threats |
| This species has no significant threats. The major landuse where it occurs is livestock grazing and some areas of its range fall within communal lands which can become degraded from overgrazing. However, species of Babiana are generally able to withstand grazing pressure so no significant decline is suspected. |
