Justification | This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 6858 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 48 km². It is known from between six and ten locations, and is experiencing ongoing slow loss of habitat to mining and crop cultivation. It is therefore listed as Vulnerable under criterion B. |

It has lost at least 36% of its habitat (calculated using landcover data in GIS) to agriculture. There is ongoing slow loss of habitat due to crop cultivation and mining. |
Population |
There is not much known about the population of this species. It is known from three subpopulations: Vanrhynsdorp, Hondeklipbaai and Toringberg, where less than 50 plants were seen in 2009 and 2011.
