Justification
This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 6858 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 48 km². It is known from between six and ten locations, and is experiencing ongoing slow loss of habitat to mining and crop cultivation. It is therefore listed as Vulnerable under criterion B.

Description
This species is confined to stony quartzite ground near Hol River.
Threats
It has lost at least 36% of its habitat (calculated using landcover data in GIS) to agriculture. There is ongoing slow loss of habitat due to crop cultivation and mining.
Population

There is not much known about the population of this species. It is known from three subpopulations: Vanrhynsdorp, Hondeklipbaai and Toringberg, where less than 50 plants were seen in 2009 and 2011.
