Justification | An endemic to the Namaqualand region, this species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 6 673 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 32 km². It is known from six to eight locations, and is not threatened. It is therefore listed as Least Concern. |

Description | It occurs on stony slopes in coarse granite gravel. |
Threats |
This species has no threats. It has lost only 5% of its habitat (calculated using landcover data in GIS) and occurs in a habitat not suitable for cultivation. While its habitat is overgrazed by goats this species is not palatable and persists even in degraded habitats. |
Population |
It is known from six to eight subpopulations and has been recorded to be locally common.
