Justification
Babiana cedarbergensis is an eastern Cederberg endemic, with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 2030 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 60 km². Known from 12 subpopulations, it is not declining as it occurs in a non-arable habitat and many subpopulations fall within the Cederberg Wilderness Area. It is therefore listed as Least Concern.

Description
This species occurs in rocky sandstone slopes and flats above 900 m elevation.
Threats
There are no threats to this species. It has only lost 2% of its habitat (calculated using landcover data in GIS).
Population

There is not much known about the population of this species. It has been recorded from 12 subpopulations. It has a fairly narrow range in the Cederberg area.
